About the Role

Allied Health, Scientific and Technical professionals work in health care teams providing a range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic and direct patient care and support services that are critical to the other health professionals they work with and the communities they serve.

As part of the Radiology Diagnostic team the Sonographer is responsible for delivering the best quality medical imaging service within available resources to meet the requirements and standards of the Radiology Service, Health NZ Te Whatu Ora South Canterbury, for the people accessing services at Timaru Hospital.

We are flexible on 8- or 9-hour working days and days offered to the preferred candidate, to ensure work life balance is achieved.

About you

We are seeking a New Zealand registered Sonographer with recent experience and someone able to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.  Commitment to patient focused services and empathy with patients and families is crucial.  The person in this role will;

  • Have effective time management skills
  • Take personal responsibility for professional development
  • Be an innovative thinker and someone who can adapt to changes in service delivery

Salary Range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the relevant Allied Collective, and the Pay Scale, Step 1-8 determined on relevant experience.
