Registered Nurses Transit Lounge
Registered Nurses, Transit Lounge -Timaru Hospital

- 12 Hour duties between 0900 – 2130 hours, Monday to Sunday

About the Role
This role based in the Transit Lounge of Timaru Hospital is being stood up for the winter period and will assist with the safe organisational flow of patients from the Emergency Department and progress timely discharges from the inpatient Wards. You and a health care assistant will work closely with the inpatient CNMs, Coordinator of the Emergency Department and the Clinical Resource Manager/ Duty Nurse Managers to ensure timely ongoing patient care, safe bed management and utilization of bed resource.
About You
This fixed term role is suited to an experience Registered Nurse (with at least 2 years’ experience) and someone that can hit the ground running. You will need;
- Nursing Council of NZ registration, with a current APC.
- Be able to work collaboratively with health professionals and as an autonomous practitioner.
- Be eligible to work in New Zealand
- Able to start on 1 May 2026

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the Nursing Collective, and the Pay Scale, determined on relevant experience.
