Registered Nurse - Outpatient Department 

• Fixed Term - From February to September 2026 approximately - due to parental leave
• Part Time 0.8 FTE
• Monday to Friday – Rostered Duties

About the Role

Right now, we’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to become part of the Outpatient team at Timaru Hospital. The role works across multiple outpatient specialties and a multi-disciplinary team.

Day to day this role is varied and will require an RN with a sound Surgical and Orthopaedic clinical experience. The ability to prioritise workload, work within a team while remaining flexible and focused is key to the role.

The role is Monday to Friday rostered duties, leaving you to enjoy your nights, weekends and public holidays free.

About you

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires an adaptable person with outstanding organizational skills.  Working closely with patients, whanau, clerical staff and senior medical staff, the successful applicant will also require superior communication skills.

Specific Requirements Include:

• NZ Nursing Council Registration and current APC
• A minimum of 2 years post graduate nursing experience
• Orthopaedic experience is essential, cast management would be advantageous.
• Role Model in Contemporary Clinical Practice

Salary Range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the relevant Nursing Collective, and the Pay Scale, determined on relevant experience.
