About the Role

The Planned Care Administrator is a key member of the Corporate Services Theatre services team and is responsible for supporting the daily management of the inpatient, administrative booking processes and services. 

This role plays a key part in ensuring that the Inpatient Booking Offices function in a manner that ensures that the Health New Zealand – South Canterbury works within the Ministry of Health  Guidelines and meets the agreed levels of elective service provision requirements.

The role is part of an enthusiastic bunch of colleagues who take considerable pride in being part of a team using their initiative and working productively with a diverse range of people and staff. 

Being a team player with excellent administrative skills along with a standard of personal integrity and able to work with a sense of urgency is required in this role.  The ability to relate and communicate well and with respect with a wide range of people  critical for this role along with;

  • The ability to contribute to effective patient care.
  • Have the confidence to contact patients to alter appointment dates.
  • Detail orientated with high levels of concentration.

Salary Range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the PSA Admin Collective. Band 5.
