About the Project
Cortex is a mobile-first care coordination platform developed to digitize clinical workflows. It is designed by clinicians for clinicians to replace paper-based systems with digital notes, task management, and communication tools, primarily used on iPads or phones.
About the Role
The Clinical Educator plays a pivotal role in providing clinical expertise to this project, acting as a lead user of clinical digital applications and a subject matter expert in their use. They will contribute to go-live readiness and support the ongoing integration of these applications into clinical workflows. The role is also responsible for the development and delivery of training and
education materials and ongoing review of training and education materials.
They will also support the Delivery Manager and Clinical Leads in promoting clinical digital applications in line with agreed communication plans.
About You
This role is ideally suited to a senior registered healthcare professional with demonstrated leadership experience, including mentorship. The successful candidate will have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with staff at all levels and sustain relevant professional networks.
They will be confident working both independently and collaboratively, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise effectively while providing clear leadership.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way to the role.
Other attributes for success in this role includes;
- Registered Health Professional with current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate
- Post Graduate Certificate completed or working towards
- Adult teaching qualification or equivalent experience
- IT literacy and competent user of clinical digital applications
- Knowledge of continuous quality improvement and its application
- Recent clinical experience and role model for best practice

Salary
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the Nursing and Midwives Agreement, DNS Grade 1 Step 1 and senior salary bands in Allied Registered Professions.
