About the Role
The Mental Health & Addictions Team aim is to reduce the negative consequences of alcohol and drug use. By working in a collaborative partnership, with tangata whaiora and their whanau, through the utilisation of person-centred approaches to assess, monitor and provide treatment.
The role provides services through a multi-disciplinary team approach. The service provided recognises and respects individual needs enabling people to make informed choices regarding the range of treatment options available, by providing support, information, liaison, advocacy, and referral.
About you
The successful person in this role will be able to work alongside tangata whaiora to assist them in achieving their goals based their individual needs. Therefore, use of mental health and addiction knowledge to identity options of treatment and deliver care as supported by a multidisciplinary team. Additionally to be;
- Registered with a current APC to practice in NZ with relevant scope of practice
- Relevant mental health experience
- A sound understanding of psychiatric disorders and medications.
- Experience in delivering evidence based practice
- Commitment to working within the strengths-based recovery approach to case management
- A current
full New Zealand driver’s license is also essential
