About the Role
A permanent part-time senior nurse lead position has become
available to join the Oncology and Medical Day unit. OMU provides treatment
to patients under Medical Oncology, Haematology, General Medicine and Specialty Services.
The role provides clinical leadership, monitors and mitigates risk, actively engages in quality initiatives and manages the day-to-day functioning of the service to ensure delivery of safe patient focused care. Staff education is also an integral function of the Associate Charge Nurse manager and therefore requires significant experience in the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and blood products.
About you
The person for this role will be leading a small close-knit team of staff, managing patient flow and will be a role model for professional standards of clinical practice.
Other role requirements to be successful include:
- Registration with the Nursing Council of NZ and a current APC
- Significant experience essential within oncology, haematology and biologic treatments.
- Demonstrate a high level of cultural competence and a commitment to the application of the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi.

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the relevant Nursing Collective, and the Pay Scale, determined on relevant experience.
