About the Role
Timaru Hospital offers an engaging, supportive environment with a strong focus on professional development and as RMO, you’ll gain valuable experience across a broad range of specialties, with opportunities to assist in theatre sessions and increase your exposure to complex and challenging cases. This hands-on experience provides an excellent foundation for developing your clinical skills and confidence.

You will bring a strong foundation of broad-based clinical knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for further developing your skills and experience. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build effective relationships with patients, whānau, families, and colleagues. You will demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude and be comfortable taking on meaningful clinical responsibility within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
We are seeking applications from;
- PGY2 and above working in NZ and seeking roles to start in 2026 and early 2027
- We welcome international graduates with clinical experience in comparable health systems and eligible for Medical Council Registration and able to start early 2027. Please refer to the Medical Council website for information. Registration | Medical Council
