About the Role
Right now, there is a permanent opportunity for an experienced Emergency Registered Nurse to join the Timaru hospital team. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of a truly varied role, where there is never a dull moment or a day that looks like another!
About You
Registered Nurse holding a current New Zealand Nursing Council (NZNC) approved practicing certificate and will:
- have appropriate clinical experience (specific to the level of registered nurse competency required)
- the ability to work unsupervised and to utilise initiative appropriately
- a supportive team approach
- the willingness to meet the required training and documentation standards within the Emergency Department
- demonstrate effective planning and prioritisation skills
- have the ability to work under pressure
- use appropriate communication when interacting with colleagues, patients/clients/residents and their families/whanau
- maintain a personal professional portfolio to meet the Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) requirements of Te Whatu Ora
- past emergency nursing experience or is triage trained
