About the Role
Right now, we are looking for a Registered Nurse with surgical/medical experience to join the Day Patients Service. Reporting to Theatre Manager this role is a key member of the wider multidisciplinary team within Day Patient Services, and provides safe and contemporary professional patient focused care for patients having mdical and surgical procedures.
The service provides care for patients from Triage, pre-admission through to their surgery plus admission or same day discharge.
About You
To be eligible for this role you will also need to be registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council and have a current Annual Practising Certificate.
Other requirements for success in this role include:
- Have a personal commitment to professional nursing development and continuous quality improvement.
- Demonstrated effective planning and prioritisation skills
- Have the ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload accordingly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation with a range of people from diverse backgrounds
- The right to work in New Zealand

Salary
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the Nursing Collective, and the Pay Scale, determined on relevant experience.
