Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse for the Obstetric Clinic

About the Role

Right now, we’re looking for a registered midwife or registered nurse to join the Obstetric Clinic that operates as part of the maternity service. The service provides maternity care to women in South Canterbury with approximately 550 births ranging from normal and low-risk to complex and high needs.

Day to day the role assists the obstetric and gynaecology consultants in their care of women in the obstetric clinic and undertakes the initial assessments such and BP checks and urinalysis.  Other duties are to assist with the effective running of the clinic.

  • Committed to delivering safe quality care and client centred services.
  • Current Annual Practising Certificate with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand or Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • The right to work in New Zealand
