Main & Emergency Receptionist/Telephonist

Are you a Level-Headed Person who could cope with the varied and pressured demands of fronting our busy Main Reception at Timaru Hospital, which includes telephonist duties, providing some relief for our Emergency Reception area, as well as elements of assisting with Clinical Record management? 


As the first point of contact for our patients, whanau and customers the successful candidate must possess first class communication skills and be passionate about customer service.  We are looking for an empathetic self-starter with a high degree of organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment which includes coordinating emergency and alarm procedures throughout the hospital.  Sound administration and computer skills are essential for this role. 


As our Main Reception team provide a 24-hour / seven day a week service there is a requirement to work a variety of rostered shifts.
