We are looking for a Registered Heath Professional (Registered Nurse or Registered Allied health Professional) with a passion for teaching and inspiring others. We want to hear from you!

Life is a collection of small moments: meaningful moments, challenging moments, moments to remember. At SCDHB, we want to support our people to enjoy more of the moments that matter. Are you ready to join us?

The Learning Hub Advisor supports the individual, our organisation and the wider health service learning needs to ensure a workforce fit for purpose. In this role we support the implementation of education and training across all health services and aim to create a learning organisation. You will join a small friendly and passionate team with a genuine flair for innovation.  Our learning hub team is diverse by design. We encourage and welcome any clinician with a passion for developing others to apply for this exciting opportunity.

It is essential that the Learning Hub Advisor role is underpinned by strong role modelling, continued enhancement of clinical practice, and a commitment to the development of knowledge and skills through sound research and evidence-based practice within an interdisciplinary environment.

You will have continuing education and professional development commensurate with the role (i.e. hold or be working towards a relevant post-graduate qualification), excellent communication skills, the ability to work autonomously, and demonstrated teaching experience.  Ideally, you would have a Certificate in Adult Teaching (or equivalent) or be working towards this.

Why choose South Canterbury DHB?

As one of the country’s smaller DHBs our people always have room to move and grow - you’ll get a wider exposure to specialties and enjoy the benefits of a flat structure: processes that run smoothly and a fun, friendly culture. With us, you’re more than just a number; you’re part of a team where everyone knows your name.

On top of all that, you’ll get to enjoy the fantastic Timaru lifestyle: between the beach and the mountains, work-life balance is truly achievable here.

At SCDHB, integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect and excellence are at the heart of everything we do. We are a proudly diverse team, as we know a diverse and inclusive workforce achieves the best outcomes for our patients and communities. If you share in these core values and bring them into every aspect of your patient care, we can’t wait for you to join us.
