HR Administrator - Timaru Hospital 

  • Fixed Term -to approximately November 2026 (Covering Parental Leave)
  • 1 FTE (80 hours per fortnight) Monday to Friday
  • Starting approximately late Feb early March 2026

About the Role

In this varied general administration and fast-paced role, you’ll play a key part in coordination and administration, providing essential support to managers and staff. The HR team is small, friendly, and highly motivated, taking pride in delivering a timely and efficient service.

Day to day tasks includes;

  • Being the first point of contact and responding to a wide range of HR related enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Collating data and coordination of information for reporting
  • Coordinating the onboarding of new staff
  • Ensuring compliance checks and documentation are up to date

About You

The successful applicant will have strong organisational and administrative skills and demonstrate a proactive, team orientated attitude.  Other skills required include;

  • Competent user of the Microsoft suite of tools including advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Confidence in communicating with a wide range of people in a friendly and customer orientated approach
  • Can manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity
  • Experience with compliance monitoring or recruitment coordination
  • Have the right to work in New Zealand

Salary Range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the relevant PSA Collective, and the Pay Scale, determined on relevant experience.
