Life is a collection of small moments: meaningful moments, challenging moments, moments to remember. At SCDHB, we want to support our people to enjoy more of the moments that matter. Are you ready to join us?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social worker, or Psychologists to join our new health initiative: the Integrated Primary Mental Health and Addiction Model.

You will be working with General Practice as an integrated team member to provide brief evidence based behavioural interventions to clients. The aims of these interventions are to improve both the mental and physical health conditions of clients. The clients can be individuals, groups, or whanau, of all ages.

You will have good teamwork and relationship management skills, due to the need to work with General Practice Teams, MDTs, NGOs, and clients. Knowledge of appropriate mental health interventions will also be an advantage.

You will also need to have good verbal and written communication skills to carry out the intervention sessions and also the associated reporting.

To be clear, specific Health Improvement Practitioner training will be given as part of this role.

If you are passionate about contributing to a multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare, this moment is yours.

Note that you need to be registered to practice in NZ with the relevant council for your discipline.
