About the Role

Currently the team of internal medicine specialists, work generally with some of the team having an additional sub-specialty qualification or interest, for example, Neurology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Nephrology and Cardiology. 

This allows for each member of the team to practice, in an area of their interest and expertise. This diversity enables us to offer comprehensive, patient-centered care while fostering job satisfaction and professional growth. 

We are keen to expand the range and depth of these services and are looking for people, who in addition to their internal medicine and acute medicine skills, might like to practice in internal medicine subspecialities like gastroenterology, endocrinology(diabetes), rheumatology, cardiology, heamatology or similar, utilising their prior experience. 

About you

The successful candidate will have a broad Internal Medicine background and be eligible for New Zealand Vocational Registration in General Medicine. We welcome Specialists trained in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia or those who have trained in similar/comparable healthcare systems globally.  Most importantly, you’ll thrive in a team environment and value the variety and autonomy that comes with working in a smaller hospital setting.
