About the Role
Right now, we’re looking for an Enrolled Nurse with lots of experience behind them to join the Medical Ward team here in Timaru. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of a role where you get to assess and develop care plans that support the rehabilitation and recovery of patients in their homes.
No matter how far through you are in your career, this position in the Medical Ward team (MWT) will provide you the opportunity for professional development in a supportive, tight-knit team, working in an established supportive learning environment. We will support you to advance your nursing skills and knowledge starting with a comprehensive orientation to our service; providing opportunities to advocate for the diversity of our patients’ beliefs and cultures; and assisting us to deliver treatments trying different methods to support the best journey through our services for both patients and their families.
About You
In addition to your positive attitude, willingness to learn and passion for providing quality healthcare, in joining our team you will bring:
- Previous nursing experience, ideally with medical experience.
- Delivery of a safe and effective patient focused service
- Right to work in New Zealand
- Have a current practicing certificate
- Confident communication skills in a fast-paced, varied environment and the ability to prioritize
- An empathetic nature, and an understanding of the importance of kindness and sincerity in patient care
