- Fixed Term to approximately November 2026 (Covering Parental Leave)
- Part Time – 0.8 FTE 64 hours per fortnight

About the Role
You can’t get any more front line than caring for people in their own home environment where the clinical care that you provide as a health professional is going to make a real difference to an individual’s health status.
The role involves working across South Canterbury, working rostered shifts, as some to meet needs of the service and clients and may include occasional weekends.
You would be working closely with taking directives from visiting Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Palliative Care Nurses and Primary Care providers within the area and will be an integral part of the Heath New Zealand – South Canterbury, District Nursing team.
About you
Ideally you will have community experience and a passion for providing care that supports people in their own home. You will demonstrate effective planning and prioritisation skills and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients/clients, and their families/whanau.
- Ability to prioritise workload and be responsible for own standard of practice, delivering a safe and effective patient focused service
- Able to take direction from Registered Health Professionals
- A current New Zealand Practicing Certificate
- Full and clean New Zealand driver’s licence and be able to drive safely

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the Nursing Collective, and the salary will be in accordance with the Pay Scale, and dependent on relevant experience.
