Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora South Canterbury is responsible for the delivery of services throughout the region and Timaru Hospital (131 beds) serves a district population of approximately 50,000.  Based in a General Hospital Facility, which has just commenced a significant refurbishment programme, we provide our local community with such critical 24/7 services as ED, ICU/CCU, General, Orthopaedic, ENT Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Geriatrics, Oncology, Palliative Care, Internal Medicine, and Paediatrics.
