About the Role:

As a Registrar at Timaru Hospital, you will work closely with senior consultants and be exposed to a broad range of clinical experiences. You will benefit from direct mentorship, increased teaching opportunities, and a higher level of clinical responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality clinical care across your specialty
  • Working closely with Consultants and taking on increasing levels of responsibility
  • Participating in theatre sessions alongside an Anaesthetist
  • Attending and contributing to weekly teaching sessions
  • Engaging in regular clinical meetings and discussions

  • A Registrar with strong, broad-based clinical skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and patient care skills
  • Enthusiasm, confidence, and the willingness to take on clinical responsibility
