Life is a collection of small moments: meaningful moments, challenging moments, moments to remember. At SCDHB, we want to support our people to enjoy more of the moments that matter. Are you ready to join us?

Right now, we have an administrative opportunity here in Timaru for a fast-mover who loves a good challenge.

The creation of a team of Qualified Vaccinators in our collective fight against the potential spread of COVID in our community, also means there is much administrative and workforce logistics work to help keep the team running. You will be the go-to support person for this team, helping out behind the scenes so that our vaccinators can continue to do what they do best.

You will provide orientation, onboarding and training to our COVID workforce (including rostering); IT support for the COVID-19 or Immunisation related programmes; and generally provide administrative support to the COVID 19 Immunisation Lead and the wider team. Other duties include workforce modelling and associated Ministry reporting, and also COVID Immunisation Register (CIR) internal oversight.

Ideally you will have worked in health before, however if you are used to working to deadlines and delivering under pressure then this role is for you.  A base understanding of human resource management and strong IT skills, will set up this person for success in our vital work to ensure we manage Covid-19 well within our community.

Why choose South Canterbury DHB?

As one of the country’s smaller DHBs our people always have room to move and grow - you’ll get a wider exposure to specialties and enjoy the benefits of a flat structure: processes that run smoothly and a fun, friendly culture. With us, you’re more than just a number; you’re part of a team where everyone knows your name.

On top of all that, you’ll get to enjoy the fantastic Timaru lifestyle: between the beach and the mountains, work-life balance is truly achievable here.

At SCDHB, integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect and excellence are at the heart of everything we do. We are a proudly diverse team, as we know a diverse and inclusive workforce achieves the best outcomes for our patients and communities. If you share in these core values and bring them into every aspect of your patient care, we can’t wait for you to join us.
