Clinical Community Pharmacist
Pharmacy Department – Timaru Hospital and Community
One Role Comprised of Both:
- Permanent, 16 Hours per Week, and
- Fixed-Term, As Part of ACC Contract, Until 30 June 2021, 24 Hours per Week
Would you be interested in a new exciting role? This is a unique pharmacist role that principally aims to develop an integrative pharmacy practice model that supports the empowerment of the patient and carers.
You will be an integral member of a broad multidisciplinary clinical service team. You will enjoy active clinical involvement with both the community and hospital teams.
This role supports post hospitalisation transition of care, with the pharmacist working across settings with health professionals, patients, and their carers.
Our Pharmacy team is involved in the provision of dispensing and stock management, clinical pharmacy services, medicines reconciliation, medicines information, patient counselling, on-call services, and you will become an integral member of the clinical pharmacy team.
You will be self-motivated, accountable, efficient, accurate, and meticulous, a team player with excellent communication skills. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy community or hospital pharmacy. Newly qualified graduates will be considered.
If you have excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills as well as having good communication skills, be a quick learner, and be able to perform in an accurate and precise manner, then we look forward to your application.
The successful applicant will be a New Zealand Registered Pharmacist, with current APC, familiar with dispensing systems along with basic Microsoft Office skills.
