Te Whatu Ora - South Canterbury

Central to our Strategic Leadership & Medical leadership structures, is the pivotal role of CMO.  This role brings to life our commitment to truly distributive clinical leadership.

The CMO will support and be supported by the Clinical Directors group, to enable a network of champions in which all members of our medical workforce have the opportunity to actively contribute to our health system development, according to their individual strengths and interests.

The CMO provides overarching Medical leadership, fostering excellence in medical practice and acts as a key driver towards a high trust, learning culture, which includes open and productive relationships and clinical excellence across the Medical workforce and wider health system functions and services.

As a key support to Clinicians and Management alike, our next CMO is likely to thrive in providing mentorship, guidance and direction for clinical service delivery across the health system.
