Allied Health, Scientific and Technical Health Professionals for Winter Surge Requirements


Right now, we’re planning for winter and we know from the modelling the health system will be pressured by service capacity and absenteeism.  Therefore, we are  building our ability to surge the workforce to support and bolster service sustainability.

We’d love to hear from you if you are an Allied Health Professional, Scientific and Technical Professional and have a discussion regarding options available. Some of these include;

  • Family friendly hours such as;
  • Flexible hours
  • Any number of shifts
  • Rostering as part of an ‘on call team’ may also be an option
  • Length of contract is also flexible from now until September and may be fixed or casual. 

There are options of working in a specific ward or across the service including community and secondary settings and therefore support available from colleagues along with learning and professional development support.  

Candidates will need;

  • NZ registration, and current APC with the relevant body
  • Be eligible to work in New Zealand
  • Be able to work collaboratively with health professionals and as an autonomous practitioner. 
  • Be able to integrate into different established teams in order to provide effective patient care.
