About the Role
As part of a 24/7 service, this role requires flexibility to work a range of rostered shifts, to cover planned and unplanned leave. The role undertakes both Emergency Reception and Telephonist duties, with full training provided. The shifts are:
- 7:00am – 3:30pm
- 12:00pm – 8:30pm
- 3:00pm – 11:00pm
- 11:00pm – 7:00am
Key Responsibilities for this role are;
- Managing incoming calls and responding to enquiries
- Coordinating emergency response teams when required
- Supporting hospital-wide emergency and alarm procedures
- Performing administrative and computer-based tasks
- Delivering high-quality service to patients, staff, and visitors
About you
We are looking for an empathetic, organised, and proactive individual who can remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with a diverse range of people. You will bring:

- Ability to meet deadlines and follow direction
- Excellent attention to detail and accountability
- Confidence liaising with internal and external stakeholders

- Strict adherence to confidentiality
- Solid computer skills and administrative experience

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the PSA Collective, and the Pay Scale, determined on relevant experience.
